daughter Sosie are teaming up to help change that with Hyundai’s “It’s Time to Go Electric” campaign message. The first ad launched during the NFL Conference Championship games on January 29th.
Hyundai’s EV model line is called IONIQ, and the latest model is the IONIQ 6. Hyundai hopes to make the EV lifestyle more accessible than ever before. For those on the fence about getting an EV, Hyundai hopes that the ad with Kevin Bacon will catch their interest and make them more likely to make the switch. To highlight how anyone can make the switch to an EV lifestyle no matter what age they are, Kevin Bacon stars as the older dad with his brand new IONIQ 6. He and his daughter Sosie are out on an electric driving adventure with their new EV. There is naturally some comedy between
the father and daughter, but it illustrates how even her older, tech-challenged dad decided to make the switch to an EV before many other customers.
In the commercial, Kevin Bacon is shown as a passionate early adopter of EV models who loves to talk about all the great features of his Hyundai IONIQ 6. For buyers concerned about range and charging times, the ad alleviates these concerns by pointing out how the IONIQ 6 can go from a 10% charge to an 80% charge in only 18 minutes. Even more impressive is the 361 miles of driving range from the SE RWD model.

If you missed the Hyundai ads during the football games, there is no need to worry, as they will continue to run into March, when the new IONIQ 6 will be ready to purchase. The ads will also appear on digital media platforms, including YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, and more. Two Oscar-nominated directors are behind the new ads, and they are produced by Furlined, another award-winning production company.
The ads are available now in both 30-second and 60-second spots. They’re fun and entertaining, and they just might get you interested in a new EV.
