Dodge Durango’s New Splash of Color: HEMI Orange

If you’re looking for an SUV that shows up and shows off, the Dodge Durango in Hemi Orange is the SUV you want to drive. No matter where you go on the roads and trails you’ll have a vehicle that everyone can see. The bright orange doesn’t blend in anywhere, it can’t hide in the wilderness, and it won’t be hidden in the sea of black, white, silver, and tan cars on the road. It’s time for you to get noticed while driving a large SUV that delivers the color you want to show off.

Which Durango Wears Hemi Orange?

It’s not the base model, it’s not even the next model up that wears this color. The Durango that comes to the market with Hemi Orange as the optional color that you want to drive is the R/T model. This version of the Dodge SUV delivers a ton of exciting features to go with the bright and visible color offered. Along with the amazing color that reminds you of the Vitamin C you’re enjoying with breakfast, this model has gunmetal hood stripes to offset the bright color. You’ll also see black and orange exterior badging, 20-inch black-painted wheels, and blacked-out taillight accents for this SUV.

Going Inside for Some Style

When you reach inside the Dodge Durango, you’ll find more to the orange SUV than you might expect. The interior has orange accent stitching on all three rows of seats, around the steering wheel, center console, instrument panel, door uppers, armrests, and shifter boots. A set of Dodge Rhombi logos find its way to the seatbacks to give you the overall interior appearance you want to enjoy when you’re ready for a drive. This interior look certainly offsets the exterior color to give you a complete style package.

The Hemi Orange Package Doesn’t Have to Be Orange

You don’t have to enjoy the Durango R/T with orange exterior paint if you don’t want to. This V8 package is an excellent optional trim for the R/T trim and it’s offered with all exterior paint colors of this SUV. This means you could have Destroyer Gray, Octane Red, Diamond Black, or Knuckle White with the Hemi Orange package which costs $1,995 on top of the price of the R/T Durango. When you’re ready for a performance-oriented SUV that shows off, this is the Dodge you want to drive.

There’s More to the Hemi Orange than You Expect

The basic Hemi Orange package of the Dodge Durango is mostly an appearance package, but you can get more if you desire. The Hemi Orange Tow ‘n’ Go package has the towing upgrades you want to make this SUV more capable than ever. This version costs $5,095 and it comes with a special set of 20-inch Hyper Black Wheels wrapped in Pirelli Scorpion Zero Run Flat 295 tires with orange brake calipers and a Bilstein active dampening high-performance suspension. This wheel and brake package gives you some impressive performance qualities in this specialized SUV.

This upgraded package also adds AWD, an electronic limited-slip differential, wide-body flares, a performance exhaust, hard button drive modes, a class IV trailer hitch, and an integrated trailer brake controller. You’ll find added active noise canceling to make your drive quieter and more comfortable along with an automatic headlight leveling kit.

Do you want more from your Durango? If so, the Hemi Orange Plus Package delivers a power sunroof, a 19-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and advanced safety features to give you more for your drive. Which version of the Hemi Orange package do you want for your Dodge Durango?

Does this Durango Have Enough Power?

The R/T version of the Durango uses a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain delivers 360 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. This is the middle engine in the lineup with the Pentastar V6 as the base model and the 6.4-lite Hemi V8 at the top of the list.

The R/T model can tow up to 8,700 pounds, accelerate to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds, and it offers a top speed of 145 mph. Could this be the right SUV for you to drive?
