The Kia 2024 EV Lineup: Sustainability at Its Best

Kia’s 2024 EV Lineup: Sustainability at Its Best

Automakers are making a massive shift towards more sustainable and eco-friendly options, and Kia is right at the forefront of the movement. From the compact Niro EV to the newly added EV9, Kia continues to design and develop electric vehicles with industry-topping range, superior features, and excellent performance. If you’re in the market for a new Kia, it may be time to make the switch to electric power. Take a look at some of the best EVs you can get.

The Compact and Comfy Niro EV

You might call the Kia Niro EV the bite-sized portion of the growing menu of Kia electric vehicles. It’s smaller than most other EVs on the market and more affordable, but this does not mean it’s any less of an SUV. It has a striking exterior look that will turn heads wherever it goes, especially if it’s sporting one of its two-tone paint schemes.

A single electric motor powers the Niro EV, developing 201 horsepower. Its 64.8 kWh battery allows it to go up to 253 miles on a full charge, and if you have the DC fast charger, it only takes about 45 minutes to bring the battery from 10 to 80 percent.

The Fun and Engaging EV6

The Kia EV6 is the electric SUV to check out if you’re looking for driving enjoyment. It has plenty of power, responsive handling, and a comfortable cabin. This EV SUV is quick. The GT-Line will zip from zero to 60 in just 4.5 seconds when equipped with all-wheel drive and two motors. If you go with one motor and rear-wheel drive, you can get more range, up to 310 miles, but the acceleration is just a little slower.

The EV6 has all the fun features and equipment you’re looking for in a new EV. Even the base trim has heated and ventilated front seats, driver’s seat memory settings, and a heated steering wheel. As far as technology goes, there is plenty of it. Two 12.3-inch screens stretch across the front, one housing the infotainment system and the other the digital instrument panel.

The Luxurious and Sustainable EV9

The new Kia EV9 is not just a car; it’s a statement about Kia’s future. It starts with a sleek and modern exterior design and continues inside with a state-of-the-art digital cockpit. This three-row electric SUV offers rear-wheel drive with a single motor and all-wheel drive with two motors. The battery packs come as either a 76.1-kWh or 99.8-kWh, and depending on the model, driving range falls between 260 miles on the low end and 300 miles on the high end. Using a DC fast charger will recover the battery from 10 to 80 percent in under 25 minutes.

The Korean automaker uses sustainable materials throughout the cabin. Genuine leather is not available; you’ll get vegan materials and recycled plastic instead, which not only look and feel great but are also better for the environment. You can count on the EV9 to make driving less stressful with Kia’s Advanced Highway Driving Assist semi-autonomous driving system available on the top-level GT-Line trim.

Which Kia EV Charges You Up?

The Kia family of electric vehicles offers a ton of convenience, value, and a bit of luxury for your money. Whichever EV you choose, you’ll make a statement wherever you go.
